It supposed to increase the energy usage by what i hear is 30% in addition to increasing damage. WHen infact i decreases energy usage by 30% AND increases damage.

Using this, in conjunction with capacitor overload 3, you will never run out of energy, at all.
Even without cap overload 3, you wont run dry very quickly.

Overall it allows you to fire for LONG periods of time. This increases your time to kill and concievably lets you take on things you might not normally otherwise. Because of the increased TTK, it also means you can farm for parts/cash fairly quickly.

It increases your survivablty because youu always have the energy to shunt to shields, the recharge is so fast and the energy usage so small, you can resume continuous firing with less then 10% energy in your capacitor.

The bug, has a nice trickle up effect when you start thinking that it is the base upon which most everything you do is derived from in space.

It should have been fixed, a LONG TIME AGO. But hasn't.

Yep. Trading is the only reason to be able to make chips, as you do not need them to put Programs you know into your own Flight Comps and Astromech Droids.

not sure 100% but i think that the energy/shot and energy usage should get incremented by 75%, also even EO4 is bugged, as it have no dmg increment and the power cost seem out of scale (but is a lot time that i have not tested it)

Oh dude! Shunt on you! No for real, [Shunt-capacitor-energy-to-shield]...its one the best program out there. (I would label it as essenital for PVP if that actually went on where I'm at) It is gods own intervention (at the touch of a button). You get it from a privateer. Get shunt, you'll love it.

It never ceases to amaze me how little people in general know about droid programs when other people just assume its common knowledge and therefor never talk about them.

This isn't a slight on Mohz1, im just saying, that droid programs, what to use, how to use them, and where you aquire them are, as it seems, NOT common knowledge. I have infact found teir 3 pilots who were unware of how to load the programs to begin with. I usually find out when assisting with teir 3 missions and half the time i pop what i consider a really stupid question to as a pilot, "Are you using overloads", half of the time i get a "no" or, "dunno how to use them" reply.

that's the point... wo3 should be going through your cap pretty fast also...

you need a freelancer friend to make you the Cap to shield shunt program... it works much better than the rebel shield reinforce programs with a shorter delay.

[threadjack]These options are barely touched on in the manual, and have changed since then. It even took me a bit to understand that you prep the flight computer like a droid, and THEN you get the option to program it. I always assumed it was a ship component, and could never figure out why I could not do anything from the ship screen or from inventory and like all secondary options if you are lagged/impatient it is easy to miss the popup option. I too did not start using overload programs until Tier 3 Mission 2, and it made a world of difference in my game.

Not only that, but I just stumbled on the option to group weapons by chance. I skipped the tutorial flight so it may have been described there, but I have always depended on my manuals to be complete - which the manual with JTL was far from being.[/threadjack]

Even if they "fix" WO3 it will not really change my game much. Very rarely do I pull enough shots to empty my capacitor even when I had no programs running. I use it since from my understanding the Overload 4 programs do actual damage to the components themselves.

lvl 3 overload programs do 10 points of damage to armor of their respective components. damage that small can be fully repaired by the space station or with repair kits with no decay. lvl 4 programs do more than 10 damage, and thus after each repair, the max armor will decrease....

since there is no decay from the free repair in deep space, it is okay to use lvl 4 programs if you go there.
