I am a Priveteer (smuggler) pilot. I did my tier 4 exit mission (the CORSEC gunboat). Then the NPC sent me to a Rebel Alliance Admiral on Coronet. I am an Imperial Captain and belong to an Imperial guild. I do not want to join the Alliance mainly because it is too hard to get help for these high level missions.
I have been told and have been reading up on the forums that RSF pilotscan do either an Alliance Corvette or an Imperial Corvette for the ACE mission. Anyone know if this is true for the Smugglerpilots?
I tried going to the Imperial Admiral in the Palace on Naboo and he would not talk to me. I tried taking some RSF duty missions to see if that would help but it didn't. Anyone got any ideas?

This is not true. You must do the mission of the person you're sent to. However, you don't have to join the Alliance on the ground. I'm an Imperial on the ground, was sent to the Rebel Admiral and did the mission just fine without switching factions.

Digi, im in sunrunner also and i have a Priv / rebel ace, there are plenty of ppl that would help you out, look at the helper post. im willing to take sometime to help you out, just send me a line.
Unfortunatly only corsec pilots get the choice to go kill the imp or Rebel vette/fighters, but dont worry, just because u kill the imp vette, u dont lose any faction.

You don't have to join the ground faction just for this one mission. Since the game doesnt make it clear in the beginning when you pick a squad, they don't lock you out for being a member of the wrong side in this case. Among the SA imperials and RSF Rebels I know, this has become a "don't ask, don't tell" situation. Never heard of anyone giving someone more than a friendly razzz for being "on the wrong side" to get Ace. The only thing that could stop you would be if you're a REALLY dedicated RPer. So do the mission, meet some people, pretend you're a spy and the entire crew of the 'vette was really a crew of traitors, and you were sent to eliminate them before they could defect

Ok so I have to go and with the Alliance for my Ace mission... Does this mean that I am joining th alliance in the air? Does it mean I can no longer fly with my guild who are all Imperial in the Air? Will I be able to join them and attacke their targets.

No, this is just a 1 time thing. Jus take the mission, kill the corvette. You don't have to do anything else.

It's only for these last 2 missions. The only GCW factionally restricted privateer squadron is RSF, where you can't attack imperials.

You have nothing to worry about. I am a ground imp and SA pilot. They don't mind that you aren't on the same team. I just did the mission and got ace. You don't have to change ground faction at any time. Only factor taken into consideration is who you fly for. So for SA they think of you as friendly to them so you do a mission for them.
