I'm a new pilot. I am posting this because I can't seem to find this issue posted anywhere else. I've been trying to play the ship expansion on and off for 2 months now. I only have 1000 xp because I can't kill ANYTHING hardly. The only way I can do any damage is if the ship I am attacking is outside of about 500 meters of me. If he is any closer, my shots do absolutely NO damage. I have hit ships over 500 times in one engagement and done NO damage. This is on the first Imperial starfighter quest. I am sick of this . I hate it I hate it I hate it!

On the other hand, the ships I am attacking can be right on top of me and damage the hell out of me. Why? I don't understand. Is this normal? If it is then why is anybody putting up with it? Why don't I see any complaints? Please help or advise.

At the risk of sounding stupid, or even rude, are you sure you are attacking ships "you" can attack? For example, Imperials cannot attack other imperials or RSF (I believe). Rebels cannot attack other rebels, and so on. Thats the first thing that came to my mind when reading your message. Make sure the target is red on the radar in other words. If thats not it, I don't know, submit a bug report.

post up a couple details about your computer and connection please. this could be latency related, since no one I know has troubles that extreme.
