Thread: Dant Space Blasting My Credits

I've just blown about 50k credits trying to complete a mission in Dantooine so the little son of a bugger on the space station will let me land at the Rebel base. I was sent here by the droid on Moenia, so I'm only a 1-1-1-1 pilot. This space station guy is sending me after about four Tier 3 TIE's and a Decimator (Tier 2)... there's no way I'm ever going to be able to take these guys out.
Am I required to find help? If I find the base on Dantooine ground-side, can I land there afterward without doing the space mission? Can anyone help me!?

Most people can solo this but I don't think you want to try at your level without help. Either wait till you have reached a higher pilot level or ask someone to help you that is of a higher level.

Problem is though that no NPC trainers will teach me any more levels, far as I know... so I have no way of getting to Tier 4/5 Components for better shields and weapons, which is the only way I see that I'm going to be able to defeat them. Without defeating them, can I find the trainer on Dantooine via groundwork? It looks like a circular problem, solvable only by getting together people to help me. That's fine, don't get me wrong. I prefer to solo everything, but if I need to, I'm not adverse to finding help, but I'd like to stay solo if possible. Gives me a greater sense of achievement.

Yes, you can get to the Rebel Base on the ground, it's a POI so you have the waypoint in your datapad already. If you're lucky there will be a player city nearby so you won't even have to drive too far.
The pilot trainers are in the large square building in the center. You will still need to complete the mission at some point if you want to land there though.
Edit: Forgot to mention that you won't be able to enter the building if you're "On Leave".

The Abondend Rebel Outpost on Dantooine is where the trainers are. You can land at a starport and shuttle to it as close as you can (or you'll have about an 11k drive). Level up a bit then try the mission again or try to find a group to help you out. The mission isn't too tough.
