Has anyone ever looted a level 8 gun with a reasonable (<.4) speed? How about level 10? I have about 30 looted guns between the two levels, and none of them have a decent speed. Should I give up ever trying to find one?

I think the lowest speed I've ever found on an even-numbered gun was .389. By my standards, which are fairly strict but slackened by a lot of laziness, anything around .400-.405 looks pretty good.

Mostly Deep Space, sometimes Kessel when I'm patrolling for overts, sometimes tier 4 duty missions. All of them produce some pretty nice loot.

If you're imperial, I have found the best place to loot high end pieces is at the medical frigate right by the Endor space station. If you go overt you can get good loot and 30-35 FP a kill. Best spot in space IMO.

Well, about 30 minutes after posting this thread I looted a .395 gun. I suppose that'll do for now.
