If I'm reading my unearned badges correctly there are 9 badges you can earn for mastering pilot (3 for imp, 3 for rebel, 3 freelance). Could I potentially get all 9? I'm almost a master imp pilot. After I earn master pilot could I surrender all the skills and join a different group of the imp pilots to earn that badge?

Yeah, if you're non-factioned on the ground you should have no problem acing all nine. Just remember you'll lose all experience, prestige, certification and skills.

Yes there are 9, 3 for each I'm just about to get badge number 5, having taken a few months off to play on the ground, and yes you lose ALL your xp when you drop a Master.

"if you're non-factioned on the ground you should have no problem acing all nine."
There are 2 exceptions; you need to be a ground Rebel to join Vortex and a ground Imperial to join the Inquisition.

A neat little trick I've found...
Master one profession in each faction first. That will get you the master pilot bonus (quadruple xp per kill - normal xp, plus the three master bonuses of 100%) Once you have your 3rd mastery, outfit two low-level ships with the best equipment you can. This will give you a huge advantage, as when you drop the pilot boxes, you can't equip higher-level equipment, but if it's already in the ship, you can use it once you get that ship's certification.
Then do the other two squadrons in the same faction.
Then switch factions, work your way up through the first squadron, then do the same trick for the last squad

"um, what"
If you master one of the three pilot professions(Alliance, Freelance, Imperial), then give it up and start over, you get an xp bonus for every kill, the bonus being the same as the regular xp, so it's doubled.
If you master a second of the three, you get twice the bonus, and when you've done all three you get 3x the bonus, which mean you're getting 4x the xp total every kill.

The bonus xp is fine, but loading up the uber ships and using em when not certified is most definitely an exploit ![]()
I don't see that it can be too hard when getting double and triple the normal amount of xp though lol. Man I could master pilot in a day with a bonus like that, but Im too attached to it to drop and redo it, so I just make more alts ![]()
