I was flying my B-wing and all seemed well, right up to the point where I hit the booster. Two things happened. First, the controls locked into straight flight regardless of how far I pulled the joystick. Second, the booster fired until expended.
I have read some posts about people having boosters that didn't work at all, but nothing of this nature. Anyone else have this? Is it normal?

Haven't had exactly that happen, but in the past whenever I was decelerating from a boost and there is the widened indicator on the throttle display, my controls are exactly inverted... Pulling up makes me nose down, yaw left = yaw right, etc. In a quick ship, this is barely noticable, but in a multiplay ship or a B-Wing that takes longer to move between throttle settings, it can be *very* disorienting.

mine works fine. on both my interceptor and tie/in
Of course, neither of those are a B-wing, which is the only ship I'm having that problem with.
