So I finally get my TIE Interceptor certification, so I get the deed I have prepared, and I create all of the Mark IV equipment so I can be the best, I do have looted, but I always craft the level I'm on just incase I don't have the loot that is good.

I get to the space terminal and I open the interface. I go down the list reactor, go through the comps I have and pick the best one from the list, Engine - check, Shields - check, Armor - You will overload your ships mass, WTH. I go through the list and take out the parts. I placed a lvl 1 reactor that I can run everything so I left that in.

I down graded to a mark 3 armor and shields, engine, mark II cap, mark II cap, and my Advanced blasters. Those fit, but then I get killed in 2 or 3 shots. I upgraded the armor/shields and downgrade the weapons, and I can now last in battle, but I can't destroy anything.

Also the TIE Interceptor has 10 weapons on it, right now we have 4 at the wing tips. Why don't they give us another 10-15k and allow us to have the inboard wing weapon mounts, and they can also lose the ordinance loadout as the TI isn't an effective bomber. I can then use the lower weapon as I would have more firepower than I need.

Why can I keep my Kimo a tier 1 privateer ship throughout the entire pilot tree as it has 80k mass, but the tier 3 TIE only has a 50k mass and I can't keep it through out my mission?

10 weapons? Where are you getting that information? Everything I've got on the TIE interceptor lists it as having the 4 tip cannons only.

But the reason that the Imperials get lower massing ships is because the ships have better handling and speed. That, and the Empire is cheap. Go Rebel. Fly a brick, but have mass.

As for the freelance ship, you're thinking of a Dunelizard, not a Kimo.

Welcome to the life of an Imperial pilot. It doesn't get any better, either.

Go grab a bomber, and learn to fly her well...when you get the level 7 equipment cert, you'll be powerful. Get the level 8 cert and you'll be near unstoppable. Get your master box and you'll be godlike. Then you can transfer most of your kit to an oppressor and watch the enemy's just fall over.

It was the dune not the Kimo, I was just crafting one so that is what stuck in my head.

I'm trying to find the link I had to the armament of the TI that said it had 10, but if not, I'll conciede that fact, but I know for a fact that there shouldn't be a ordanence loadout for it, that is what the TIE Bomber is for.

Try downgrading the armour but not the shields. Once your shields are gone the armour rarely lasts long no matter how great it is (at least that's how it goes in my experience)

Possibly you were looking at http://www.galacticempiredatabank.com and missed the "or" stuck way out in the middle of things (stupid place for them to put it).

every ship has at least one ordinance slot, and thats the way it should be, but you dont have to use it, even with most bombers i fly, i use no ordinanace, unless im trying to take out a capitol ship. The whole mass/speed thing is what makes flying fun. Choosing between which parts of your ship you want to emphasize is fun. If you dont like not having much mass, then try the bomber, but dont complain that it handles like a dead chicken
