I'm a master neutral pilot with a YT and a M22.

The YT is fine, all loaded down with POB stuff and while slow, a good rolling fortress so to speak.

The M22 is worthless compared to the tier 4 ships however. With a Mass of 211,000 I can fit a mark V reactor in and everything else has to be mark IV or lower. Whats the deal with having Mark V gear and tier 5 enemies but my master level ship has to be outfitted with mark IV stuff?

If anyone can help me out with an idea of how to improve my ship please do. As far as I have found the best I can do is strip it or ordinance, most weapons, and armor to get some decent engines and a shield in there.

Try using more RE'd looted components.
211k is a LOT compared to what most of us are used to working with.

Get your arse up and start looting, the disparity between crafted and looted equipment will become readily apparently and you'll soon understand why most Shipwrights are angry with the comparison.

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.

I've taken out tons of enemies in my Krayt. Are you useing crafted items, looted or RE'd?

A Mark V reactor? What for? How much power are you needing?

Your ship has 3 important parts. Engines, Shields, and Guns. Get the best you can get with those three things. 211k is a LOT of mass, you can use some good good stuff. After those are loaded, fit everything else in as needed. With Capacitor Overcharge 3, there is very little reason to use anything higher than a level 2 REd Capacitor. Maybe something a little bigger, if you use Cap to Shield Shunt a lot. Anything else is a waste of mass.

Fit your reactor to your power needs. A huge reactor like that is just wasting more mass. Armor, similarly, can be fitted to what you need. Your shields will be most of your protection anyway. Don't think of armor as a defense, so much as an "extra try" if you screw up. Do your best to not let it get hit.

love my Kryat, and do Low Level Pilot friends of mine who need the XP . I'm using a Mark IV reactor, and a Mark III Engine. (got a good SW friend who made some pretty top line ones for me) and with RO3 and EO3, it's usally plenty for PvE. Using Mark III Armor and a RE Capactiro with 4k of MAss. Aslo using some pretty good looted DI and Booster with low mass.I just ship the Countermeasures. Leaves enough room ans power for some pretty big and fun guns. I switch betten the Player turret and a missle launcher, depending on if I'm going alone or with a buddy.

Take out that Mark V reactor, throw in a mark II, and run reactor overload 3 or 4. Use 3 quickshot experimental blasters, your level 8 reward shield, and a Mark V or L8 REd engine. Everything else will be Mark III or lower. The Kryat rocks, you just have to adjust your loadout.
