After having JTL since it came out i have finally decided to try it out for more then just traveling. it suddenly just dawned on me yesturday that fighting in space is awsome. so i've read though some of the posts and the FAQ but i have a bunch of questions i was hoping you guys could answer... so here we go:

1. I noticed that there was a quest heavy X-wing with more mass which i'm assuming i want so where is the quest to get this?

2. How do you use all those droid programs? they look like they could help a lot but no idea how to use them

3. is there any advantage to using a X-wing over a B-wing since the B-wing has more mass. i've always been a X-wing person but the B-wing seems better.

4. I noticed in the pub 24 patch notes that they are making multi-player ships better by increasing the stats of elite components.... whats the difference between regular and elite? and which rebel ships can use them?

5. I know the X-wing has 3 weapon slots, but is there an advantage to having 3 different weapons, you can only fire 1 at a time right? it seems like a waste of mass to me, but i must be missing something.

6. and this ones really been bugging me... what the heck is a spacebomb?

thats all i can think of, if i think of anything else i'll be sure to add it. thanks in advance for your responses.

You can link them using the 'G' key to set you weapon groups. they will all fire at once and empty you cap in a heartbeat.

Or you could do as I do and load 3 weapons with a .330 to .340 refire rate and fire each of them one after the other, don't hold down the trigger just press it rapidly, and you will put out a withering sheet of firepower that destroys all in your path. With Cap overload 3 and a good capacitor you can fire almost nonstop.

1) There's is a link to a guide for the quests in the main FAQ.
2) There's a link to a guide for these too. Infact there's a section dedicated to it.
3) And X wing handles and accelarates better than a B wing. It also has a slightly (i think) smaller hitbox, though i'm not 100%
4) Elite have much better stats, but have 250k mass per piece. Only the Nova Carrier and the Y-8 could hold them.
5) You can use all of your ships weapons at once (unless one is meant to be a turret gun), so 3 weapons are 3 times as better as 1
6) Its a type of Space Ordanance, its quite good for knocking out shields on gunboats. It also makes a big bang, if you like those things (and who doesn't?)

Hope that helps.

1. Kashyyyk space station
2. One of our regulars has clicky in his sig, doubt it'll take much longer before he honors your thread with a post.

3. X-Wing had better maneuverbility, B-Wing has more firepower

4. Elite parts weigh around 250k and only fit in the Nova Courier, YT-1300,VT-49 Decimator and the Y-8

5. Press 'g' to group weapons together

6. Launched from a spacebomb launcher (which can be mounted in an ordnance slot). Lots of dmg, slow lock time. Basically, a bomb acting like a missile.

It's a mission that you can get, from the Kassyk space station. Start looking around there

2. How do you use all those droid programs? they look like they could help a lot but no idea how to use them

This one is to hard to explain to I'd say check the FAQ's

3. is there any advantage to using a X-wing over a B-wing since the B-wing has more mass. i've always been a X-wing person but the B-wing seems better.

Bigger is not better...or so that's what she keeps telling me... B-wing is a bit less agile then then the X-wing.

4. I noticed in the pub 24 patch notes that they are making multi-player ships better by increasing the stats of elite components.... whats the difference between regular and elite? and which rebel ships can use them?

Elite components are really heavy and can only fit in the big ships. I'm still gonna try to fit a Elite engine in a B-wing to see what kind of speed I can get out of it though.

5. I know the X-wing has 3 weapon slots, but is there an advantage to having 3 different weapons, you can only fire 1 at a time right? it seems like a waste of mass to me, but i must be missing something.

Weapons can all be fired at the same time(linked mode). Press 'g' to see gun groupings. Also weapons can be fired incycle mode(i.e.: fire one after the other). Since your overlapping the cycle times incycle fire mode, you increase your rate of fire. Check your key bindings to use cycle fire.

6. and this ones really been bugging me... what the heck is a spacebomb?

Hrm a spacebomb...the only spacebomb i've ever seen would be Critters 3.....1 and 2 had their funny parts.

thats all i can think of, if i think of anything else i'll be sure to add it. thanks in advance for your responses.
