Depending on where you are in the Kashyyyk Space Station missions, if you drop Imp Pilot for Neutral Pilot, you will not be able to get the Vaksai reward.

If you have done anymissions given on the ground, you'll be bugged when you switch.

thank you for the info, thats what i needed to know. Leads to another question tho, can u buy the ships and use them, or is it like the JSF that u need to complete the mission to pilot it?

You can Buy a Grievious, not sure about a Y-8, the rest of them you need to have completed themissionfor it.

I'm a imp pilot and im not sure i want do get the RGI, im up to the mission but havent done it yet,if i dont do the mission now will i be able to do it when i switch to neutral? Reason im asking is i saw a post that said that space missions reset when u restart pilot but that the ground portion of this mission wont reset. can anyone tell me for sure if i can/cant do this mission once i switch?

If you do the RGI as an Imperial pilot you will NOT be able to do the Vaksai later. IF and only if you are freelance you can do both quests. So if you're going to switch, wait until you're freelance to do it.

Switch to neutral pilot? Or neutral ground faction?
As an Imp pilot I think you can only get the RGI. Could be wrong but I think you need to be a ground Imp and space neutral in order to get the Vaksai and RGI. If you want to get the Vaksai instead of the RGI as an Imp Pilot, I think you're out of luck.
You've already done the missions out of the Kashyyyk Space Station?
If so, you won't be able to get back at the position you are now if / when you drop your current pilot template.

im talking about dropping imp pilot going neutral pilot then redoing the kessel missions

Not true - you can buy the Heavy-Xwing, Vaksai, and RGI as well. They simply require that you already have a minimum of five assorted badges.

The only RotW ships that require you finish a specific quest to use them are the ARC-170 and the Eta-2 Actis. All other RotW ships (including the Y-8, I believe) only require the "...has acquired 5 badges" badge. The heavy novice ships--heavy Z-95, heavy TIE, heavy Scyk--don't even require that, although they're technically not RotW ships.
