I just did it. Solo'ed all but 2 missions throughout it all, and have my Ace helm and such now. NOw I did almost all of SS in a Interceptor and have no plans of changing. Thanx to Rieki who helped me with the exit mission and helped me take down the vette.

Grats! I just got this one too. It was a good day for me yesterday. Got the SS ace done, got my 100th badge, and got a black sun helmet. It will be a day long remembered!

You'll drop the Interceptor if plan on doing serious space based PvP, and hell, even farming in PvE. You'll like the mass and hardpoint setups of the other ships available to you.

My suggestion, post-Ace, is to fly whatever ship you love the most. In your case, the TIE Interceptor. The more hours you log in it, the better equipped it will become, and the more you can push its limits. Some people will tell you it isn't good enough, that a TIE Advanced or a RotW fighter is much better for the same roll--however, if you stick with it, you'll learn to be a better pilot and you'll learn more about mass management than anyone flying a bigger ship.

I can see some pluses about the T/I vs. the T/A myself, mostly to do with the single gun and the quad firing pattern.

Well, made my first venture to deepspace today, and LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Interceptor hld up well with only one shot getting under the shields, two dead corvettes and a host of other ships. I am curently doing the quest for the RGI (not to exploit, but for an RP thing), so I'm really pushing my limits again with these Kash escorts.

Woot! I just did SS this weekend as well. Solo'ed all of it except for one mission my guildies wanted to tag along for - it was rgeat fun. Now for the Inquisition... or should I do the neutral squads first. Hmmm, decisions decisions.

I've recently become a Storm Squadron Ace as well. I stuck with the TIE Heavy until I got the JSF, now however I fly a KSE Firespray, the "Storm Phoenix" thought it was fitting, my current top speed in it is 1665 and it can still out manouver those pesky A-Wings and Droid Fighters. You may decide to drop the Interceptor in favour of the RG one, kitted out with the Ionic Pulse Cannon its near orgasmic in a firefight, damn pretty, I just couldn't get the hang of the sluggish controls at lower speeds.
