Thread: my last tier 3 mission...disaster

ok so im on my last tier 3 mission out of dathmir...crimson phoenix....it is the misson where you have to shoot down the imperial ace...well everything is ok, i get to the WP on endor....shoot down the arrogant IMP thats always talkin smack, knock down hit entourage and im chillin. Then comes the next part, i need to patrol. Ok im doing the patrol then 3 TIE advanced come out and start beatin on me. I always manage to kill one but the other 2 finish the job. Im flying my xwing with 3 weapons, conncussion launcher, micro-chaff counters. Any suggestions? I need to be able to solo this cause at the time i play my guildies are sleepin. Please let me know your input...im desperate

That's a tough one, I solo'ed it in my x-wing(no chaffs, just 2 guns)but I alsohad a droid working the shields for me.

Are you remembering to always break and attack whom ever is shooting you . To stay on one target while two beat you is suicide. If so, have you tried knocking out their reactors, that is what I do when I face 4+ tier 5, well atmthe really fast ones.

how do i get the droid to work the shields for me? i cant figure out how to do it.

This one was a toughie, my best advice, make sure you have top tier 3 shields (I used player made) and use two player made advanced blasters (I think those are tier three) also try slowing down, the ties didn't seem to hit me any more often then usual and I was able to keep them in my gunsights longer. Another thing select their engines and blow those out, if you get lucky you can disable one in a straight on chicken fight each time.

It's very, very unlikely that you ever need to do anything solo on Eclipse no matter what time you play, you maybe just need to expand your horizon above and beyond your guildies :-). Even though a certain someone did his best to turn the recent "pilot helper" thread down to some bragfest you'll still find it on our galaxyforum with people offering help for pilots needing it (as you are rebel I personally am out, but I'm quite sure I can "connect" you to someone able to help a rebel pilot if you name the time you can play and if none of the people there who help rebel-pilots work for you timezonewise).

As much as your right, I try to do certain things on my own until i realize that i need help, but if you could refer me to a rebel playing at about 11-1 am EST please let me know.
Also, how in the heck do i get my droid to manage my shields without me having to do it on my own. Its painstaking to have to keep going to my toolbar to hit shield reinforcement heavy or shield adjust heavy...if my droid could do it i would love it
