Thread: Docking Bug?

Trying to finish the first mission from the second imp contact I incompacitate the officers ship and investigate for the hostage information and find it but when i go to dock it tells me that my request to dock is denied. I have tried it 8 times now and it never lets me dock so I end up getting frustrated and try with another ship. Is this a known bug or is there something Im not doing?

yeah its the first part of the mission disable then search and when it tells me to dock it says denied.

sometimes you do not have to dock, but wait close to the ship in question. Every so often you will see a message on your screen saying how much of the operation has been completed so far. Maybe this mission is like that.

Did the mission today and I dont think I did anything different than yesterdays tries but it worked. Thanks for all the advise Ill remember it for future problems should i incure any.

Yeah i was having trouble with the M---kiss mission (not sure on spelling), tried to disable, /comm, inspect, dock, destroy (out of frustration) but nothing seemed to work. The ship had the friendly looking box around it too. Has docking been bugged for a lot of peeps, i can't remember any problems docking before or maybe this mission has some different aspect to it, dunno...../shrug

some ships have to be disabled before they let you dock, have you tried that ?
