I'm a 4443 Imp pilot and I want to go hunting for rebel gunboats. I spent 45 minutes yesterday in Kessel and I only ran into one. Then just before I destroyed it, it hyperspaced away. I spent most of the rest of the time getting buzzed by A-Wings. Where is a good place to find gunboats? Can anyone give me some waypoints or something.

At 4443, Kessel is pretty the only reliable place for Gunboats, as the next best place is Deep space, which you have to be a master to enter.
If you have Rotw, there's duties from the Kashyyyk station that spawns tier 5 gunboats (the new different kind, very challenging) as wave bosses. So you could give that a try.

yeah but those arent technically "Rebel" gunboats. Shiptype same, ship affiliation different. I think the OP wants faction grinding opportunities.

you can usually find a pair of gunboats at the vette despawn point in kessel - the wp is in the FAQ. Youd be doing a service cleaning them up to make the vette spawn again, too. Their AI gets messed up and they dont move, either, so killing them is a snap
