Thread: Fourth Tier 3 mission in Imperial Inquisition

How do I beat the last part of the fourth Tier 3 mission in the Imperial Inquisition? I mean the first part is hard enough, having to knock out all those interceptors, hitting the shuttle for a bit, then hyperspacing to the station to repair to 90s then come back to finish it...then I get quite banged up some more...then finally I must use whats left of my TIE interceptor to defeat the Price of Freedom with its six ship escort. As soon as I flew close enough to fire one shot, all 7 ships shot at me and my ship was disabled in literally 2 seconds. I used weapon overload 2 and cap to shield shunt but it did nothing. Anyone got any ideas?

I just completed that mission - I needed help though: A guildie (neutral 3333) did a suicide run, charging in with blazing guns and attacking the "Price of Freedom", while I engaged the fighters. After he was killed I was lucky to destroy the ship and barely survived with disabled guns - I have been very lucky because that was right when my guildmate reappeared and mopped up the remaining fighters.
Only advice I can give: Get help - the more, the merrier...

How convienient; this thread is exactly what I needed to know.

I was about to try and solo this mission, but after reading this thread, I think I'll try and round up a couple of guildmates, maybe 3 or 4. I don't wanna take any chances; I hate being blown up.

Fly something small and fast - speed is important for a mission like this. I think I used a heavy TIE rigged for speed. When you see the group, Bomber Strike on the Liberty right off. Then quickly engage the escorts while the gunboat deals with your bombers.

This is no ordinarly gunboat - boost out away from it, then circle back to joust it. If you're in something small and fast you shouldn't get hit much. Just go head to head as fast as you can, each time targeting the engines. If you miss, don't sweat it, just keep flying away quickly. Only circle back when your shields are back up (you are running droid programs, right?).

I soloed it and have helped some people solo it. Key is cap to shield shunt, and your bomber strike, and a fast engine. When you get 1.5k out use your bomber strike on the gunboat. Then blaze by it real fast getting it's attention and the escorts attention, but boost away about 2k or so. Then deal with the escorts. But try not to get too close to the gunboat.. keep an eye on where it's at, tho it won't focus all it's guns on you due to the bomberstrike.

Now when the escorts are taken care of make very quick runs against the weapons of the gunboat. but DO NOT pass it. Only get a few shots then pull away, shunt to your shields, and rinse and repeat untill it's gone.

If you do not have cap overload3 and cap to shield shunt 4, get it.

Oh and if you have to repair after the first part of that mission you should work on your skills first, or you won't have a chance against the larger ships. Key to destroying the generals lambada is pulling in front of it, hit emergency weapons, and blow away. It should blow up before anything else even touches you. If it gets a chance to flail around or shoot back at you then you are taking too long. Then deal with the escorts. Shunt your sheilds when necessary

I almost soloed it this mission twice, but I don't think I'm going to try again. First time I died in a couple hits from the gunboat, because my bomber strike failed.Second time bomber strike worked, but I was only able to make a few passes on the ship before I was out of shield. I eventually failed because I took too long... 20 minutes! For one ship! I am not using droid commands, each time I tried using any it shuts down systems on my ship and I am a sitting duck. I used weapon overload 4 once, and it shut down my weapons for a minute. At least I could still fly, not like when eweapons fails. And that was when I was master pilot. Is there still a failure rate for droid commands? After I used WO4 I tried Engine Overload 4 and it said I could not issue any more droid commands for 1 minute, using a 15 second droid interface. Maybe I'll have to read the FAQ on droid commands.

Read this - http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=pilot&message.id=71224#M71224

You NEED to run droid commands for a fight like this, because you'll need Cap to Shield Shunt.

Run your programs in this order -

Reacter Overload 3 or 4

Weapon Overload 3 - 3 is currently bugged and uses LESS power than weapons running normally, for more damage.

Cap Overcharage 4

Engine Overload 3

And load Cap to Shield Shunt 4

All of that will fit in a level 5 droid/computer.

yup. Run reactor overload first, this prevents your systems from shutting down from the other programs.

I'm bringing this thread back to life just to say I just tried the fourth mission (I have solo'd every mission so far) and all I could do was laugh at this. Everything is going along just fine for me until the 3rd part. I'm supposed to fight the rebels. There are 4 Imp ships already in the dog fight. 1 click to the area, 3 imp fighters left. Half a click to the fight 2 remain. What!? I show up on the scene like the American cavalry. Smoke one fighter. Smoke another. Jebus 1 fricking fighter left? Cmon dude not even Tom Cruise could have won this fight faster. 2 rebel bogies left. I engage one. I slip in behind him and fire a few blaster rounds. Mission failed. OMG you have got to be kidding me. My Imperial brethren can stick it. They suck!

I mean, what am I supposed to do? I don't want to use my damn boost just to get to the fight. I'm sure I'm going to need all my boosters for the gunboat that everyone is talking about in the 4th leg of the mission. Was I just unlucky or should I expect the Imperial fighter pilots to go out like a bunch of chumps?

Use your boost to get to the fight. And yeah, sounds like you were a little unlucky.

The battle type missions are a pain sometimes, especially if you're still moping up fighters from the previous mission. I just aim for the fight and boost, forget whatever I was previously shooting at. But all of my ships are rigged for speed, so I can get away with it.

But definately, boost while traveling. It'll recharge.
