I have a question that I am sure has probably been answered sometime somewhere, so sorry for asking it again.
I am a Rebel on the ground, and am currently working the Freelancer Pilot tree. I have been getting my missions from the trainers starting in Theed. Now from what I understand, this trainer is aligned with the Imperials.
My question is, since I am aligned with the Rebels and I wanted to be aligned with the rebels as far as Freelancing goes. So do I have to dump all the stuff I have done so far and take missions from the trainer in Tatooine? Or can I simply switch to getting my missions from a different person.
Or... Does it really matter? Whether the trainer I am using to get missions affects anything I may do in the future with the GCW? I mean will I later be unable to take a mission in a future publish/expansion because of my choice in trainer. Such as for the Master missions. As a freelance I have to take the missions from either reb or imp. So is that possible? Me being Rebel aligned and taking a master mission from an imp trainer, which would most likely be something against the Rebels.
I apologize if this has been answered already somewhere, just looking for some help.
Thanks!

If you want to switch pilot factions you have to give up all you've done so far.
If you want Rebel alligned then you should go SA.
The only difference I know is that the Ace missions will have you killing Rebel or Imperial in Kessel depending on the freelance faction you're part of. SA has you killing Imperials.

Okay... so since I wanted to be SA to begin with I should have started out on Tatooine? No way to switch now? grrrr... lol. I don't have to do anything with my Rebel status do I? I am already aligned reb.

Actually... Here is a different question, along the same lines....
Do I have to dump all of my skill boxes in Freelancer and start all over again or can I simply dump the stuff above the novice box? I mean either way I am still Freelancer right?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

To switch from any squadron to another you have to drop all your pilot skills, including novice. How far up the RSF skill tree are you?

Ouch. Well, at least you already have the ships. It's not like you'll have to buy them all over again so that's good. Just takes time now.

So... who do I talk to to start the Freelancer Rebel aligned route?

Go to Mos Eisley. In the back room of the cantina (not the ship cantina) is the guy you want to talk to.

If you need a waypoint to the freelance recruiter (he is the guy who tells you of the choice of RSF, CorSec, or SA) just try to surrender your pilot skills liike you would any ground prof and it will tell you where to go
