This is a pointer thread for those Lowca pilots (like me) who read the pilot forum but do not regularly venture into the cesspool that is the Lowca general server discussion forum. The main thread is here. Do not post follow ups to the thread you're currently reading, I do not intend to follow it. Thanks, and sorry to non-Lowcainionz for the spam.
Ace pilots are cordially invited to Deep Space on Sunday, September 18 at 9:30 PM EST for some informal mayhem. We'll meet at 0,0,0 and pair off, furball, and otherwise blow each other to bits. The atmosphere is intended to be friendly and supportive of pilots who have limited or no PvP experience. I can confirm that many first time pvp'ers will be present.
I've coordinated in-game with several pilots who intend to come. Of that core group, none intend to fly the Actis or the Bel-22 because we find them to be unbalanced ships. If you choose to come in one you'll be welcomed, just know that you'll be sporting a significant advantage. If clone fighters are all you have outfitted and you want to scale down to fit the core profile, consider transferring your gear onto a high mass variant chassis (the heavy scyk, heavy Z-95 or heavy Tie - you can usually find these on the vendor search for about 500k).
If you intend to show, please post your faction, the ship you'll be flying and your in-game name and ship-name. Freelancers are encouraged to declare Imperial, as at first blush that appears to be the less-represented faction.
I've created a 32-slot TeamSpeak server to facilitate communication for this and subsequent Lowca space events. I'll send in-game email with server-connection info to those who signal their intent to attend. If you don't have TeamSpeak but want to come, visit www.teamspeak.org to download the free client. You'll need a mic, preferably one attached to a headset. You CAN participate without voice chat, but it's strongly recommended that you download the client at least for listen-only, as it's very difficult to coordinate in space via text-only methods.
For those pilots who would like to attend but do not yet have their ace, help is available. Alliance, CorSec and Smuggler's Alliance pilots can contact Raja in game to get assistance from TAG's Wrath Squadron pilots. Any other aces willing to assist people in getting their certifications are encouraged to post here.
I personally will be there as Raja Asenn in my A-Wing, dubbed 'Wrath One'. I look forward to seeing you all in Deep Space.
