its been months and the in game problem of the weapon on the arc 170. still has not been fixed. are the devs slaking of or dont know or dont care? they need to take a pilot character with a arc and look at the problem test fit all the guns to make shore the wing mounts line up right then test the tail mounts ans no mater what gun you put on it the never streat out. oh and maybe test why the astromech does not show up as well when you have one in the ship.

Sadly, there are more bugs then the misaligned guns on the ARC. Since it's a purely graphical thing and the ARC isn't flown very much I doubt it's high on the priority list.

Test around a bit. Some types of guns turn up at the correct positions. (Had me a set of guns RE'ed with the correct type as first component... works fine.)

For me personally, it's more annoying that the droid "gets lost" inside the ship, but i agree, both things could and should be fixed occasionally, doesn't seem to be a big matter to me. (No code which will affect other code and so on, only a few numbers for coordinates.)

Crafted guns seem to do the trick. The belbullba has a similar problem where the bottom gun with often show up and a box with a question mark. (although not all crafted guns work either in the bel.) This is another trick. This works on any ship. Say you want to RE a level 7 gun. Take all 7 of those guns and load them one at a time on your ship. You see one you like or one that animates properly in the case of the ARC take note of which gun it is. When you go to a Shipwright to have the parts reverse engineered ask them to put the gun who's graphics you liked best into the RE tool first. This will set the graphic apperance of the gun. The default apperance of the finished item is the first item put into the RE tool. This is how my Y-wing longprobe with a QID looks like a Y-wing and not a freakin Star Trek ship.

Well this explains some of my issues from ARC-170 missioning with my brothers last night. Had one of my brothers in the Top Turret complain that his gun wasn't lining up with the in-game reticle. Well I have used my ARC-170 a LOT recently to much success, and no one else has complained about this.

BUT.. I had changed the mounted guns for the turrets just before we took off. I usually run with all crafted guns mounted in my ARC. I'll have to test this further this evening.

Considering the bugs with guns on the Krayt and Aggressor have been reported since launch/introduction, and nothing has been done, I really doubt they'll get around to the ARC anytime soon. And if they take care of the ARC and leave the others. I'll be..... *grumble*

Just out of curiousity, what issues do the Krayt and Aggressor face? (I don't know first hand as I have never flown either).

Similar to the misaligned loot guns, several loot guns on those chassis were not given a default appearance in the graphics table, so they are invisible. Load one in, and it won't appear and fire in it's slot. The fire effect will appear to come from any other active hardpoints, and the damage will be added, but it's still annoying, and when you try to put one of those guns in a turret slot, the gunner can't shoot. It's actually quite handy to load an invisible gun on the wings of a krayt, and have it add damage to the cockpit mounts. Yeah, technically it's exploiting but what the heck do they expect me to do with a reward gun I REd before the ship was even in the game?
