Thread: Damn you SOE and your sweet sweet candy

so I logged in today to the new U83Rness that is a Smugler/pistoleer only to go into space above dant and see a giant targetable methane asteroid. My first thought was "oh my god I must find a shipwright and get a mining laser by any means nessesary". in the ensuing chaos I discovered the certs for the new episode 3 ships under Ships IV, that all the shipwrights had scems for the new POB only components, and that we have no craftable mining laser. Now whenever I launch from dant the 'roid is there to taunt me with its presence, as if it where a carrot in a stick perpetualy inches in front of me.

They did it with JTL too and the starship terminals. It's a tease. Is it true you can land on space stations in RotW though?

But, did you also notice the other tease? Kashyyyk is in the Hyperspace map!

It just makes people that much more anxious to get RotW. I was sitting by an asteroid in Naboo space killing TIE after TIE. They really don't want you mining those asteroids.

Rumor has it that SWs won't even be able to craft these components, that they will be given to you as a result of completing a quest. As a shipwright I think this sucks. It's more and more apparent that the devs never intended shipwrights to be able to make a living--looted components, upgradeable starter ships, and now whole ships and new components won through quests.


BTW--if you don't buy RotW, forget space mining, because the quests to obtain these items starts on Kyshyyyk.
