I wasn't able to preorder the digital download (mainly because I don't own the credit cards in the family and the person who does kept putting off helping me until it was too late...). I want to get the 3 additional ship slots, and my question is if I buy the digital download now (rather than preorder), will I still be given the extra slots, or was that just a preorder thing?

Also, will the complete experience be seperate CDs or can I just access the RotW part and still get the 3 slots if that doesn't work?

dunno about that, but if you buy the new bundle pack they are offering now it indicated that they would give it as a reward for those people as well.

A friend of mine just said they they made it that you got the 3 extra slots no matter what you bought, even just the expansion itself, anyone confirm this, or point me to a link?

You get the 3 slots regardless if your expansion was downloaded or box set. Also, the slots are available regardless if you pre-order or buy after release.

I'm not going to look up the post on this, but it was stated by Tiggs recently.
