Thread: Okay... how do you mine?

I've got the Class I Mining Laser added to my ship as well as the small cargo hold given to me by the guy in the Dearic cantina. I'm up in space blasting asteroids into chunks, and the chunks into smaller chunks (I've played this before.... a long time ago in an arcade far away), but I'm not picking anything up. What am I missing?

You are a godsend. I was flying around up there, blowing rocks up, but never got any notice that I was mining. After all my efforts, I landed and found that I had a whole 30 units of asteroid material in my hold. Hmmm.... I'll go back up and try again.
