Thread: Anyone have any helpful hint for completing the Vaksia Mission from the Kashyyyk SS?

I've failed the mission about 10 times, taking up a bunch of friend and the gunboats are just too many and too strong. Most of us are master pilots, but this mission is nuts. After we disable the corvette and try escorting it to the station, we just hit waves of gunships. Everytime we get to the end they somehow blow up the corvette and i get mission failed. Is it just a matter of getting a full group , we had 6 good pilots and no chance. Are we doing something wrong? and tips ?

Don't blow up the waves to fast as they try to take out the corvette...if you shoot the fightershard enough so that they start coming after you instead of the corvette you have done your job. Let the fighters chase you and only engage them if they start runs on the corvette. If you do this right, the most you'll ever see is maybe two gun boats.

This is what I did. I flew in and took out gun 5 on the vette, then flew downward from the vette under boosters. this gave me room to disable the escort. I flew back in behind and under the vette and used mark IV missiles to take out the shield generators. I then followed the vette untill it was 5200 (or so) away from the kashyyyk station, and at that time disabled the engines. I never saw one gunboat the rest of the mission.

The corvette doesn't shoot at you until you shoot at it. So you can actually engage the fighter escort for as long as you want. Just make sure you don't accidentally hit the corvette....After eliminating the fighter escort. Mosey on up to turret 5 wack it and the remaining guns. Then disable. Remember to take your time. The closer you are to the station the less time the waves that respond have to attack the vette.Aslo if you do take out the guns on the vette remember to take them all out. The engineers that take over the corvette replace the guns (but not the sheilds)
