Will I lose all of my Imperial Prestige? I know it's useless at the moment but, I could use it at a later date if they link it to capital ship ownership.

I somehow managed to lose more prestige than I had, going freelance -> freelance. :/
Went from 61 million before I dropped pilot to find I had -5.5 million when I remastered.

Yes you will loose all the prestige points if you switch.
And, yes you went into negative prestige because you had a entertainer buff going at the time you dropped. Apparently the buffs also add 10% to the overall change in experience/prestige regardless of whether is positive or negative. So going from61 millionto 0equals -67.1millionlost exp/prestige.

Hrm ok. I'm absolutely torn though. 
I want to get access to those Freelancer Black Sun missions and get the Krayt but I also want to keep my prestige horde. I'd *really* like at least a preliminary timetable for capital ships. I know that whatever wild estimate they give, they won't finish beforehand so it'd be ok. Plus what the methods for purchase would be...

Juding from the current trend, you'll prolly have to duel darth vader in a one on one match to get your capital ship.
No need topurchase just have to beat up some one on the ground to get one...bwahaha
