Thread: Kashyyk station missions (after completing ship quest)

So, I completed the qust to get the red tie. Now the Kash station has two mission options: normal duty missions and something more "challenging". The challenging option give me a series of seek and destroy legs. At one point, I get one rebel gunboat to kill, a boat that follows and actively engages. I off'ed that guy, proceeded with more flghters destroys and eventually got to a leg with two chasing gunboats. My red tie doesn't have the destructive power of my oppressor and just as the second gunboat was geting near its end, it poofed and I got a mission failure for taking too long.
My questions here are:
1. Doesn't this mission have any reward or is it just a tougher duty mission?
2. Is there anything past the two gunboat leg?

I have gotten to the 3rd leg, of fighting 3. The rodian base commanders also give missions but usually with novas as the aces. I have managed to kill 4 of those solo. I assume these all have 5 legs, ending with trying to kill 5 of those gunboats at the same time. I still don't know of anyone to complete it on my server or on this board. I would love to know if there is a reward for this insane fight. Especially wondering what the Vengence Ion Cannon is at the bottom of the weapons search on the bazaar.

The Vengeance Ion Cannon is a level 8 reward weapon, but it doesn't come from that mission as I haven't made it past the 3 gunboat level yet. I believe it's from one of the missions leading to the Blackscale Compound invasion.
Its stats are as follows:
Armor: 578.2/578.2
Hitpoints: 578.2/578.2
Reactor Energy Drain: 2147.4
Mass: 33193.2
Damage: 1828.7-2735.8
Vs Shields: .613
Vs Admour: .615
Energy/Shot: 32.0
Refire Rate: 0.417
RE Level: 8
