Is there a trick to take one of these out without getting smoked in about 10 seconds? Is there a sweet spot to stay in to avoid the 7 or 8 guns these things use? little help please...

yep, if you stay directly behind the engines you cant get shot, but you need missiles to shoot at it.

Also theres only 1 weapon on the belly of the vette that is weapon 5. If you take weapon 5 out you fly underneath and take all the other weapons out at a angle.

I prefer to take a small, fast fighter and do strafing runs. I almost never get hit using my JSF and I can rip a vette to shreds.

once you disable the engines, that is...you have to approach from the front to be able to snipe out the upper deck weapons without them getting a line on you, which is hard if its still moving
