This is the mission when you are suppose to dock with the YT-1300. When are you able to dock with this ship? Are you suppose to knock out the capacitor so that you can dock with it? What is the eaisiest way to complete this mission?

I need help with this one too. The trainer says I am supposed to launch a space assault droid to take control of the spies ship(I have a space assault droid?Cool!) How do I launch it?

I have been blown up once already, and I have blown up the ship once, and frankly, my trainer is getting a little testy with me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

** UPDATE **

I also tried sliding up behind him and docking - Request to dock refused

Then I disabled his engines and tried to dock again - Request to dock refused (after I just blew up his engine? Some people are SO sensitive!

He then blew my ship up. Still no joy.

Heres the easy fix ,hat threw me off for a while also. To dock with a ship you have to target it as it is target in reticle (In other words put reticle on it and press x). When it becomes your targert (you see stats in corner) then you can dock with it. If you have something else in your target reticle it wont register the ship even if your sitting right on top of it. Also if you keep having problems with span waves flying in while trying to dock, heres an pretty sure way to give you some breathing room if you need it...Disable a bunch of fighters till there are couple then hit IFF scramble and head for station, don't dock (if you want get repairs) then head back to the ship you need to rendevouis with. The enemy fighters should just leave you alone that point. They may attack if you get to close again like most NPC fighters. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the last time I tried it, I targeted it exactly as you suggested (pressing x while the ship is under my reticle.) In fact, that is the only way I can find to target it since it is nota hostile until I open fire. The request to dock was still refused. Is there a minimum distance for docking? I believe I was 50m away when I tried it. That seemed pretty close, but maybe because the 1300 is such a big ship.

I am not having problems with other ships, at least not yet. He has always been alone.

Does the option to launch the space assault droid come up once I dock? What is up with that thing?

As you can probably tell, I am living proof that some people should never leave the ground. Thanks for your help.

If I remeber right, the way it happened for me was that I targeted the reactor. Once I had that down to 0% the 'disabled' message appeared. Then, after a few seconds' pause, the droid was deployed automatically (I seem to remember worrying about not knowing how to use the droid then seeing the message that it had launched). After it had done its work I could dock.

It was a while ago when I did this (hope I'm not confusing this with another mission . The old memory is not what it was).

Good luck.

Targeting the reactor, and disabling it worked. Then you just have to ride out the weapons attacks long enough for the droid to deploy, and take control of the vessel. Oh, and then survive the tie fighter attacks. Mission accomplished. Thanks for the help.
