Thread: Loss of energy?

Ok, noob question (please dont use acronyms in the answer, I'm very new to piloting):

Some of my components seem to have lost energy upon loading them into my ship.

I am flying a dunelizard for Smugglers Alliance. The three components are:

1. Shields. I bought new shields from a vendor, the hitpoints read max. I put them in my ship they now read 'Front/back shield hitpoints 900/1200.

2. Capacitator. I bought a new capacitator from a vendor, its energy was max. I put it in my ship and now it read n/N, where n was less than N.

3. Booster. Same again, bought new one was fine. Put inot my ship, it read, n/N, where n was less then N.

Why do these components not show full energy?

Thanks,

Ato

They will indeed recharge to full after launch. Nothing to worry about.

The n/N values you refer to are n = current amount of energy stored and N = maximum amount of energy it can store without running any overload programs (more on those later)

For example, your front and back shield's hitpoints were 900/1200. This means that it currently has 900 units of shield energy, and it can store a maximum of 1200. In other words, it's 75% full.

This happens on the three items you listed, which are the only items to have consumable energy.

They each also have a 'recharge' value. This is how many points per second the component will be able to put in the reservoir.

The capacitor gets a helping hand, however. It can be overloaded, which means it can store extra energy, and it gets a boost to it's regeneration rate.

Shields can also be affected, using programs that rebel and privateer pilots can learn. There are good posts on droid programs and chips, so I won't go in to that here.

Having re-read your original question, I realise that you asked something completely different lol

Vendors can be kinda quirky - I think SWG's got some bugs
