Thread: What server has the best JTL groups?

115 is quite a lot actually!
From organised space PvP i'd say starsider has the most, aswe have some great coordinators to organise weekly events and blockade weeks so we usually meet up in the contested system of the week.
For example we curently have the blockade of lok running. We had a introduction event, where rebels and imperials jumped in after a short briefing at a set time and contested for the hyperspace points. After that both sides tried to escort a freighter down to the space station as a supply run.
So this week we will have patrols from time to time where each sides tells their superior who gives the opposing side an OOC tell so that it wont end up hour of flying overt through lok for one side 
Additionally, we have smugglers trying to avoid the blokade by smuggling goods to the planets, either overt or covert.
Finally we will have another battle for lok next saturday.
We are planning to hold similar events, from protecting/attacking thecorvette or the ISD to space dogfights all in an RP context.
I'd say the imperial side on our server is slightly more organisedas they usually can rally some more pilots and have better chosen and equipped ships (lots of rebels still fly the X-Wing 
).
).It is important though that both sides respect each other and work together OOCly to prevent stuff like loadkilling, dummy missile exploits, etc. After all both sides want a fun time there

can't say my guild tops 115 active pilots but we do try our best to have a good time n so far I have managed to hand out 23 Firesprays to guildies from the loot hauls
I would deffinately be interested to know what you guys get upto in such big groups

unfortunately we don't get into much PvP wise Like I stated before, we have no comparable Imperial force at the moment . Hopefully that is changing, One of our "Old" pilots has went Imperial , and is now trying to form an Imperial Wing.
Kitten, If you dont mind I'd like to pick your brain some more, the Lok run sounds great! The only kind of things my lil pea brain has come up with was like Squadron vs. Squadron, one protects their respective DS target...I.E. We would protect the Reb station, with say a hour time limit.
Faar, that sounds great....23 Firesprays? wow! Plus your's is an actual guild...mine is not a guild, just an association. I don't think we havea Space guild on Valcyn.
Thanks for the feedback guys! Desperate for ideas.

Stop ragging on the Xwing pilots.
I hate all these Awing pilots screaming that the and Awing is better in pvp, just cause you can't fly and Xwing in pvp affectively doesn't mean others can't.

You fly what you want to fly... just as you use the type of armor that you want. The problem is that curently about the same percentage of players that uses composite armor on the ground uses X-Wings for PvP too.
It remains everyone's decission what they fly.
However, after lots of lost battles on the rebel side with a majority of X-Wings people me advertising for more pilots using the A-Wing to survive longer is absolutely legal.
In my eyes a lot of the people who use the X-Wing in PvP like the X-Wing for its combination of firepower and maneuverability against NPCs, yet in PvP firepower is not that important which results in a more maneuverable ship having an advantage.
Against a huge squadron of Tie Advanceds and Tie Interceptors you simply need to adapt just like the imperials adapt to the threat of a-wing pilots already (inferior maneuverability to imperial interceptor type ships i might add) by using someTie Oppressors with missiles.
We rebels need a durablefighterscreen first though that can allow our heavier ships to use missiles. While one or two X-Wings may be able to actually damage the opponents' oppressors before they are taken out, the majority will die to the huge amount of tie advanceds in the meantime.
I am not "ragging on the Xwing pilots" but rather advertising for more people to consider flying an A-Wing that will also allowa moderate number of X-Wing pilots to bring their superior firepower to use against distracted targets and heavy ships that can thus be taken out more efficiently.

we arn't solely a space guild and only about 25% of our guild do any piloting but even so we love what we do
you guys are giving me some great ideas for events

Something that just came up as idea... a space battle just with mutliplayer ships!

Fair points, just on my server everyone seems to fly awings more. I find the damage area the xwing covers with all cannons linked cannont be beaten plus the xwing has supior roll on the awing and using roll with pitch compensates for the awing supior pitch and yaw.. but as you say fly what you want to fly, that what I want to see more variety.

Wow... you could re-enact the Battle of Endor!
Just reading about the wing with 115 pilots. If they all get on at once they could very well be responsible for crashing the server!

I'm on Valcyn and have a Wing with 115 pilots at present. Unfortunatly The Imps aren't organized at all, a few fragmented squadrons at best. Are there good size units and events on any other server? If so I'd really like to chat to exchange ideas for events, PvP, etc..
I know JTL is lacking...But still, I believe there is fun to be had. I would appreciate any positive input and ideas! Thank you!

Definatly NOT bria. While a few pilot groups exist, they're few and far between and honestly i think they're losing steam. To the best of my knowlege no space event has ever taken place on bria.
If i didnt have so much invested on bria, id change servers.
