My wife accidently picked Imperial after installing JTL last week. She done 2 missions and got something like 70 Imperial faction points but did not hurt her Rebel faction. After she realized that she picked the wrong side (after I woke up and told her that the Imps are the bad guys in the movies) she broke it off with the Imps and lost her exp that she gained while with them. She then went to the Rebels and they would not say more than I don't want to know you. So I helped her with some rebel terminal missions and now she has over 280 rebel faction points but they still wont as her to join (talking with the recruiters in Ancherhead). How many points does she need before she can join with the rebels?

Hmm well the only thing I can think of, even though I'm sure you've already tried it, is make sure your not Imperial aligned in both faction and pilot. You should be able to go reb with 200 FP (200 is the minimum).

I think you need to be Rebel on the ground to join with the Rebels in space too.

I believe that you have to go to imp recruiter outside theed palace and resign from imp navy then go grind those imp faction points off..my wife did same but other way round lol.

I believe she is still Imperial Faction on the ground. Press Ctrl-C, if it says "Imperial On Leave" there somewhere thats the reason.
Go to an Imperial Recruiter (for faction, not pilot trainer), outside Bestine Starport is one for example, or in Theed near the spaceport.
You have to go Combatant first ("Yes, I want to resume my duties"), then you can resign from the imperial faction completely. Will take 5 minutes, then she's neutral again.
Then the rebel trainer should talk to her.
