I am gated with no help on radiant atm.. can't seem to solo this mission.
You get this mission with your lvl 2 ship.. boy.. how am I supposed to beat 6 + lvl 3's?
I can disabled 2-3 before I get wasted.

are you using all four overload programs? What are the stats on your engine, shields, gun etc?
Come on man, gotta give us a little info.
As for your question of can it be soloed...I am sure it can, and as I just finished 2211 Black Epsilon, I will let you know in a couple days

I did that one. When you dock at shuttle and get the data you want, what I did was head to next waypoint until I was attacked and then hyperspace to one of the 3 spots in the yavin system. Heal up and head back to waypoint and you should get attacked again then hyperspace to another spot. I think I hyperspaced twice and then was able to go deliver the data.
The next mission is where I gave up
I just couldnt kill the 7 teir 4 xwings

Come on guys
don't tell him to hyper within the system, that is a cheap way out, and will NOT make a better pilot.Usually delivery missions like this will spawn never ending enemies on your way to the rendezvous. The secret is not to destroy or disable any of them. Always move to your wp. You will only have at most 2 spawns on you at once, use your boost to charge through them, and when you start taking hits on rear shields, turn and get behind them and shoot a few of them to break them up. When you get to the rendezvous, this is the place to disable the fighters that have followed you. Either disable them or else knock them down to where thier engines are at like 20% so they are badly crippled. Now dock and use cap to shield shunt to keep your shields charged.
After docking if you have to scram to another wp kill the remaining fighters that try to follow you. If you are to go to a differnet system then hyper out immediately.
The thing to remember with tier 3 missions is you are NOT after XP. you are attempting to complete a mission. Kill only when absolutly necessary

I had help with 2 missions in Black Epsilon. I found tier 3 to be very difficult.
If you need help in game with the mission, feel free to contact myself, Buntaro or Fu-Hsing anytime.

I think it can be soloed, but you might need 1 or 2 attempts.
The jump in difficulty from Tier 2 to Tier 3 Black Epsilon is great. Tier 2 is a joke mainly, fly there kill one ship, mission done.
Tier 3, while not as bad as Storm Squadron gets close in difficulty and annoyance factor sometimes.
I had help with those missions so can't really comment on the solo-ability. I did half of the mission alone then got help from an Imperial Ace.
Was annoying till then, think it was an escort mission and i was simply disabling the enemies not destroying them, to slow their spawn down a bit, and usually they still spawned faster than i could deal with them.

Try to go loot hunting for awhile, get some good parts to RE, or search SW vendors relentlessly, also, make use of the engine, weapon, reactor and capacitor overload programs, plus cap to shield shunt. These will help a solo pilot tremendously. There isn't much mass to the imperial ships at all till the TIE Bomber, making the most of it is critical. Shields should probably be your heaviest component, followed by your gun. You can use a level 1 reactor and level 2 RE'd cap and together they will mass in at about 3k. Your engine can be pretty good, I have a level 4 that is RE'd to 72.0 speed and 63+ to YPR and masses in at 5500 or less.
booster, and Droid interface are next. I wouldn't waste space on ordinance or countermeasures...big shield, big gun, medium sized engine, tiny reactor, cap, and DI, any remaining space can be used for armor, I run 2 mark 2 plates..300 or so protection and only 4500 total mass.
That was about how I configured my TIE/In when I did Imp. Inquisition. Not quite back to that point in Black Epsilon yet. I was lucky enough to have a pre-nerf DI too...masses at 550 and speed is 12.2, but you can probly RE a level 2 or 4 to around 1k mass and have 19 or less speed.
Group up if you need to

Yes. It can be solo'ed.
The difficulty jump is rather high and it was certainly a tough mission to do. Having an excellent ship with mostly re-engineered parts helps, particularly the biggest most efficient gun you can find with a decent capacitor.
I did all but the last mission in Tier3 without using any droid programs and they were a challenge. After I got droid programs most missions became exceptionally easier than before, even the Tier4.
For escorting sections, don't figure to kill, fly to stay alive. Evade, get on a pair's six, cripple one if you can, make them evade as you attack. Stay with your escort target. Use your radar, if you want to try a trick I use, target the last one to fire on you, (since he's aggressive and focused on you) find others nearby and strafe them, break them up. As the bracketed ship comes around to fire upon you, evade and quickly maneuver to bounce it. Having the bracket makes it much easier to keep track of a troublesome ship. It reminds you that there is an enemy bearing down on you and not to focus solely on what is in front of you.
The biggest advantage you can have is a fast engine, with good boosters.
The next biggest advantage is as big a gun as you can stuff into your ship, even to sacrifice all armor. As an Imperial Pilot it's all about not being hit. If you evade well, light armor can deflect just enough that gets past your shields for you to survive. Kill quickly when necessary, Dodge Always.
If this still fails, use your overload programs. They may not seem significant, but, with just Engine Overload 2, you gain significant maneuverability such thata nominal engine is turning tighter, moving faster than the best engine in that class. Several players have solo'ed without using droid programs until much higher, when they become too useful to ignore. I can't imagine solo'ing Tier4 without using them, unless I had uber crafted and re'engineered parts, (which I don't).

use atromech give some wo and shield shunt cap overload and engine overload = piece of cake pick on the bombers first then the x-wings then a wings dont stray from the group, they will form up on your tail keep them running in circles pick on 1 till he turns then another do dmg over time that way they dont line up on you it can be done easily i went up against 6 lvl 3's np. just split and coral them as one breaks move to next keep them in circle. Its called "spinning the wheel" make sure you are constantly turning dont focus on one hit him hard enough then moveon to next target do this and the next time you hit him heel feel it.
