Did all of those things. It said that electronic was on board. I docked with it and it said that I was unable to get information. Now the ships that i get only allow me to target shields. THe [ and ] keys only go to shields and secondary shields. Nothing else.

Press Ctrl-J and read exactly what it says there. What are you supposed to find?
Once you have inspected the right ship you usually get a system message "Thats the right carge, now use /dock to dock with the ship".
What do you mean "the ship that i get" ?
I've never done this mission, infact I don't even have a single clue if its a rebel, neutral or imperial mission or what squadron its for. Some more info would be nice and one could actually try to help you.

I am doing rebel mission to get master pilot. The third teir is Lt Col Aqzow on Yavin 4. The mission I am suppose to do is to inspect the hutt ships. Find the spice smuggler and inspect his ship. get the information about the endor system. I have inspected lots of ships with no luck on getting the right one. My friend did the same mission the night before and said that you are looking for electronics. I have dozens of ships with electonics and had spice smuggler. I disabled ship and inspected it. After inspecting and it said that electronics or whatever was on it I docked with the ship. Each time it docked but would not allow me to get anything. Now it will only let mekill the shields or secondary shields of a ship.

Ok, few stupid questions:
1) did you disable the ship? Shoot the engines or reactor. you can target subcomponents with [ and ] I think
2) After you disable, did you inspect the ship? /inspect or use the command from Ctrl-A > Space
3) After you inspect, are you sure it carries the right cargo? Sometimes not all ships with the right name carry the right cargo, then you have to blow it up and wait for the next spawn, and repeat.
Sometimes you also don't have to dock and retrieve the cargo, its enough to just sit close to the ship, and it reprograms the auto-pilot, and the mission turns into an escort mission.

I think your friend was wrong then. Electronics doesn't really sound like "information about the endor system" either.
It usually really has names like that.
My best advice is: keep disabling Spice Smugglers, inspect them (if it says the cargo is on a spice smuggler, don't bother inspecting the other ships they won't have it) until you get a system message like "This is the right cargo, now use /dock".
Also your Ctrl-J journal should update to "Dock and retrieve the cargo" and not "Disable the Spice Smuggler".
When I did my Smuggler Alliance mission we also had missions like that and I think it took me 10 or 20 of them to finally get the data I really needed.
