Thread: Any intel on the Mass of the Heavy X-Wing?

Just curious if anyone has any intel (facts not guesses) on the max mass for the new Heavy X-Wing?


(hoping appx 200k)

Everyone who would know (if anyone does) would probably be breaking the NDA.
There has nothing been released yet, even Beta tests of RotW has not started so far.

I really don't care about a 200k mass X-wing, so long as they take away the third gun mount. Or give us a 170K mass Advanced Advanced.

Even 5k or 10k would help out on the new X-Wing...I can do interesting things with my current loadout with that much mass boost.I doubt it would be over 120k, unless the plan is to give Rebels the equivalent of a krayt fighter so we can have a nice heavy fighter at Master. I think a 210k mass X-Wing would be an interesting ship to load up and fly...

FYI.. no one knows yet (not even covered by NDA at this time because there's no published info in any Alpha forums or what not...


Curious though, with 100k mass currently on the XWing whats the issue? TIE Intercepter is 50k mass and many pilots have extremely successful load-outs on those (including myself)


Though, I will say any mass increase on the current ships is a good thing as it add's more choices in regards to gear. IMHO, the current XWing is a versatile and well balanced machine with good manuvorability and lots of options. 3 weapon bays and 1 launcher bay is not even an option for Imperials till they hit master and get the Oppressor (170k mass).


Your tier 3 ships have.. XWing 100k mass, Imperial tier 3 Intercpeter at 50k mass or Bomber at 200k mass (2 weapons, 2 missles). Can't say I've ever seen anyone loadout a bomber for PvP though nor have I heard an XWing pilots complaining in regards to getting blown away by a TIE Bomber.


I hope the mass increase is substantial as I'd love to see more XWings in Deep Space (does it get more iconic than the XWing?) I would love to see that new TIE Intercepter with 100k mass as well. (Though I believe it's not mass that makes a good pilot, it's how you re' your equiptment.)


What I really want to see.. the new Z-95 with 50k mass vs the 12k it has now, that ship has the highest built in YPR of any ship currently in JTL.

No, it just bothers me more than shields and hyperdrives on TIEs. I think the Y-wing with the Enterprise Engines is more annoying though, in terms of mocking the actual fighters in the movie.

I don't worry about the number of gun mounts ( I fly an Aggressor for PvP) But when they add one to an X-wing that has absolutely no justification for being there, it is annoying
