well Lets see
1 i'm using the dunelizard style 1. Reactor is 14109 gen rate, Engine is 79 top speed with a 63.2 pitch yaw and roll, Shield Gen is 898.5 front and back with a recharge rate of 4.37, Front and rear Armor is 1100+ and hits of 950+ (its been beat down alot), Wep Cap is 1549/1032 recharge of 40.3, Booster 1980/1980 accel 36.3 top boot 25, Droid INterface speed 20.0, Weapon1 1498-2642 32.4 eng/shot refire .343, Weapon 2 913-1287 eng/shot 28.0 refire .420,and a level 3 filght comp with the following commands Cap to shield 1 and 2, wep overchg 2, reactor overchg 2 reactor stabil, wep cap reset.
2 Once I fly into the cords to meed the imp shuttle to deliver the "gift" I dock and deliver, disengage and by that time I have 3 tier 3 fighters tearing me apart. I have tried to take the fighters out or disable them first then dock, but I just can't seem to get past the second wave of fighters, it goes from 2-3 to 3-5 and then its all over but the crying. I have made it to the second waypoint once but wasnt able to dock.
3 this is my second dune lizard chassie.
4 I am at my Max mass of 83000+
5 My energy is not a problem nor is my mass i'm still under by about 3000
6 I'm on the Lowca server.

This segment of the mission that's giving you the trouble, I call a run and gun. Wave after wave if you aren't quick. Always focus on the destination waypoint. keep moving toward it at every opportunity. Disable engines on the entire first wave, and run. If that doesnt give you enough time, IFFscramble, and run some more. If there are ships when you arrive, disable engines again. Invariably someone will post soon telling you to hyper within the system to fool the AI. Do as you will, but taking advantage of an AI loophole doesnt make you a better pilot, and its satisfying to beat this sort of mission. Also, if you want to try it woth someone to help you, simply book for the waypoint, and let them chase you. Your wingman will find it very easy to slide in behind them and take them out.

I had the level 3 droid programs when I did this mission, not sure if that will make too much of a difference, but it wouldn't hurt to see if you could get weapon cap ol 3 and cap-shield shunt 3.
I made straight runs to each of the three shuttles, never bothered with the fighters, when my shields got too low I'd use CSS3, I was getting overpowered on the third (and last) shuttle, so I used the IFF Scramble, finished the docking and took off to the next part of the mission.
My suggestion: Don't worry about the fighters, worry about accomplishing the docking. Try to keep your shields up with the CSS, and use your IFF Scramble when you can't keep up with your shields and shunting.
Also, you can always ask other pilots to help out. I just helped a friend with this one last night, and with three of us up there it was a piece of cake.

I just recently did this mission myself, I grabbed a couple of wingmen and it worked out great.
They kept the fighters off my back while i docked (I never even made it thru the second docking the 8 or so times I tried it solo :smileyvery-happy
hope this helps.

good equipment cept for a couple things:
1. Personally, I would scrap your current weapons and replace both with a pair of crafted quick shot enhanced lvl7 (mark IV) weapons. Refire should be under 0.270 on them and they'll have around 1500-2500 damage each.
2. Maybe swich your droid programs up a bit: This is my suggestion in order of importance: Reactor Overload 1, Weapon Overload 3 , Engine Overload 3, Cap Overcharge 2, Cap to Shield Shunt 2 (you *should* be able to fit all these in a lvl3 flight computer, I think that's what I was using at that level). I'd train xxx3 next too to get lvl4 flight computers so you can have lvl3 droid programs all around - 5 of them.
NOTE: On Reactor Overload 1, always run it first! You may not have enough energy to run them otherwise. You may be able to switch out a smaller reactor even and use Reactor Overload 2 (to save mass) it you can fit it in your droid.

first: let us know what equipment/ship you're currently using
second: what droid programs do you use
third: what is the mission exactly, what part do you have trouble with?
fourth: server?
EDIT: recently, I did all tier III outta jabbas w/ a dunelizard (went 2322 first, then 2323 for droid and programs) - now in the same ship, and all i have to do is vette to master

Also you don't need XP for any of the Tier 3 boxes. You do 1 mission and got 1 box as reward.

after one try i found an easy way to do this mission solo.
when the first wave of enemy ships appears hit your booster and draw them away from the imp shuttle. then do a in-system hyperjump. head back to the shuttle and dock without any problem.
i have done this on all 3 servers where i have chars now - with this trick its the easiest mission of the tier 3 quests i found.
