Wow...I thought I was a whiner about this patch. Seriously....get a grip? Did you expect a personal deposit to your bank account to make up for it? Or would you have been happier if they never made the change at all?

You can't really claim it cost you a small fortune...the cost of these parts is minimal at best to a pilot. Especially if you're friends with a shipwright (and what good pilot isn't friends with one, or a shipwright themselves?) and mine the rocks yourself.

Sheesh. For a moment there I actually felt bad for the devs.

I'm with Attaca (seems I do that a lot) I mean did you really think SOE would grandfather it in?

so let me get this straight you are crying because soe is hooking us up with way better stuff so we can do a little mp ship combat but apparently you are the only one that spent money on your sheilds and stuff so here is an idea why dont you go to sell your stuff to some noobie and get some money for it instead of complain to people that cant do anything about it and dont want to here about it it no wonder why the devs never give us anything because people like you cry when we get something good its a shame really i wish we could revoke our pilots licence

now i am curious, is all this stuff POB only? cause if not you hae some dectn loot that could probably be re'ed.

While I sympathize, it's consistent with every change the Devs have made to ship parts so far, except for a very few right after launch (as in the first couple of days).

The reason for it is simple. Database purge and replace of legacy data isn't easy in swg, and it can lead to problems like what happened to Europe-Chimera when the CU hit. Thus, they avoid them whenever they can, and I don't really fault them for that.

On the bright side, they improved Space mining rates markedly (and cut the resource requirements for POB parts) so you should have little or no trouble mining the needed resource for new parts.

Yes, I came back..............now I wonder why. One month into playing again, and I get ground back to square one.

Yeah, sorry, but in this case they did tell us ahead of time. Given the CU conversion, I'm not sure I'd want them to try and convert anything.

yeah my bad sorry about that guys was reading a bunch of jedi post before i read this one i was still seeing red if ya know what i mean but as far as your sheilds go twitchie you could sell them to someone who only does mp npc space combat for grinding but as far as my first post i stand by the fact that its a good upgrade but the rest was a rant anywho .....

Hey, if that's your take I agree with you. It does suck to have to replace it all...just don't be hollerin' at SOE for it.
