Thread: Phoenix's first incarnation flew tonight

A few things surprised me. First, I think the rounding no longer actually means anything - reason:

The QID RE I used on tonight's run - 108.4 post-RE.
The booster paired with it - rounded 27.0 post-RE.

Side note for Eclipsians: I can rock EO4 now with a 108.4 speed, 1.4 PYR-mod engine. Hee. This puppy can turn on full-boost the way my old ship used to maneuver without EO3.

Anyway, running the numbers:

108.4 x .4 = 151.76 x .95 = 144.172 (not TOO far off, the cruise speed is 1440)
144.172 + 27.0 = 171.172, or 1711.72 (top speed with EO4 + Booster = 1696kph)

Most people wouldn't complain over 15kph, but I'm not most people - especially when I'm not breaking 1700kph when I expected to before.

Unfortunately, I'm not as far along as I hoped to be - some versions still aren't ready (despite the bounties placed on the parts needed), so as of now I'm flying a redesign of my original JSF configuration - only with the QID in place of my older (and very tired) L6 reward, and oh yeah - close to 2100hp of L8 armor front and back. That's a big change.

The only thing that occurred to me, when I was trying to remember my PvP keyboard positions (though I couldn't find any damned takers), was that I forgot to screenshot the damned loot BEFORE REing it so I could upload it to spaceloot.com.

Sooner or later I'll get around to posting more details. But having written fifteen-plus pages of text tonight for a history midterm over a period of four-and-a-half hours, then three hours of wrist strain in SWG...my poor carpal tunnel needs a rest...or lots and lots of cortisone.

Death doesn't fly a JSF anymore...he flies a Gallente Thorax in EVE Online
