Thread: M-22 Krayt Set-up

Just a couple questions about this great ship; I'd like to confirm:

Weapon 1 - Chin

Weapon 2 - Turret

Weapon 3 - Dorsal

Weapon 4 - Wingtip (Bugs with certain firing effects)


Please fill in the blanks, if known. Also, is there any downside (other than mass management) to equiping the turret while it's not manned (flying solo).


Also, even though all weapons groups other than #1 are empty, on alternating pulls of the trigger the "weapon group 1 selected" or "weapon group 4 selecte" will alternate. Anyway to stop that? I had a missile launcher in weapon group 4, but unloaded it; don't know if that's related.

I know weapon 2 is the turret which I don't use. However the wingtip weapon is confusing to me. I am using slots 1, 3, and 4 for my weapons and they are all front mounted. Weapon 3 and 4 shoot out of where weapon 3 usually shoots out so there are no wingtip weapons on my ship however I am still able to fire all weapons normally with the same amount of damage.

When you go to your "Manage" screen, if you look at your ship you can see where the weapons appear when you add them. Weap 1 Is under the cockpit "if I remember correctly, Weap 3 is above the cockpit and Weap 4 is on the wing tips. As for the cycling of your weapons, you will need to go into the Options screen and then go to keyboard, and click on the "ship" screen. There you will see a list of the keys and what they are attached to. You will want to move your fire button to the "not exactly sure what the name is since I'm at work and can't check" Single fire button,,,If you do this, you will need to add a key to manually cycle through your weapons. This way you can say, use your weapon that is good against shields first, then when you get the shields down you can switch to your Armor weapon. At the lvl you are though, you should be able to use Reactor Overload 3, Capacitor Overload 3, Weapon Overload 3 and Engine Overload 3. With RO3 and CO3 I can shoot all three of my weapons continuously without my Capacitor running out. You will need a top of the line Reactor to make sure you have enough energy and also a highend Capacator to do this. Will post when I get home what I have and what I shoot so you can get a comparison.

if your wing weapon style is bugged it will not show and fire out of the main guns. level 8 gyrils do this, i know
