now i know that the elite ship systems would be too heavy anyway but since they are POB only could they be mounted on a Y-Wing or is it just considered a 2man fighter/bomber and not a real POB ship.

Y-wing is a 2-man fighter. Have to be able to actually walk around inside to get the POB tag.

They can take some very heavy kit though. 140k mass and only 2 weapons. If Master you can make a very uber Y-Wing. I tested this out with a guildie the other day. We went into kessel, I was gunner, and we coped very well. Using TS helped a great deal, but going up against Aggressors was a piece of cake. As we didn't have any rear armour, we did stay away from the Tier 5 bungoats though. But you can have some serious fun in a Y-wing. I'd say they are better to help a fledgeling get experience in a safe environment, rather than using an ARC.
