when i'm in space and doing missions,if i fight anything1 tier abovethey don't take any damage to there shields or armour. i sit there for2 min and i chip awaymaybe 50-60% and i know im hitting them, becausei get the flashof their shields.once in a while i take10%off with onehit but thats like 1:100. any help on why i can't do anything?

i said that i hit them because there shields flair. one time i kept shooting until i was empty, and it wasn't dead.

Yup, sounds like you're not lining up properly on 'em.
Your crosshairs matched up with their little green box that appears when you target them?

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.

yes. i always have my little boxes on the crosshairs infront of the ship.

A few things that might help you -

Shield flare means little, since lag and client/server may not agree. It takes a little practice to know when you actually hit, try to follow the green crosshairs as much as possible. Sometimes you have to shoot ahead of them, sometimes behind.

What Tier are you? Tier 1 guns, especially if you're still flying the starter ship, don't do much damage at all, and higher level NPCs will regen quickly.
