If you don't like any of that, then there isn't a squadron anywhere for you, Rebel or otherwise. (From my understanding.)

From what I have gathered, it seems that there is a bit of everything in all of the squadrons, regardless of faction.

I think CP has only one or two escort missions if memory serves(though I hear it might be a bit harder than some of the other squads... I haven't done any others so I can't say with 100% accuracy).

Its just the Escort Missions I dont like really, and constant non-stop waves coming at me. There has to be a point where you can stop fighting NPC stuff in JTL... too much of it gets tedious and frustrating, because the JLT AI pretty much sucks in my opinion. All they do is either come straight at you, or fly in the same circle with either you chasing them or them chasing you. Its kinda stupid really, I have yet to find any real AI challange in JTL.. I can always predict what its going to do.

...and that is why AI fails...

The escort missions don't really take all that much time and they do typically move the story forward. It can be fun.

Yeay they do, do a lot for story purposes... I'll give ya that. I just find them tedious, and don't take this as though I am trying to avoid them all together. I know there will be some in every Squadron and I'll have to do them, and they ARE, more fun when ya have friends with helping. So I am just looking for the Squad with the least and I do appreciate the advice and opinions.

I think I might try out CP on Tat to start out. It works for In-Character reasons considering my character is from Tat, from the days before the CU, when you could chose what planet to start on.

If you don't like escorts, avoid Vortek squadron.

Crimson PHX sounds like your thing, expect, there are missions where you have to kill tier 4 stuff, right in the middle of tier 4 spawns. It can be quite...... exciting. No gunboats that I remember, big thing about phx is, Aggressors are EVERY where! That squadron I laughed when I finished it, I thought to myself "LOL that was tooo easy!" I don't have a problem with Aggi's, and I think that its probably the shortest time squadron (meaning there aren't many long escorts). Definatly stay away from Havoc (Corellia rebel), that has escorts, missions with wave after wave, and yep, gunboats. I've done 5 of them now, and have helped countless others with another (I don't know why, but ALL my friends choose Vortex), and all of them have a certain challenge.

I'v been thinking about switching to a Rebel Squadron but I am having some difficulty finding information here on them, except for whats in the Stickied FAQ... seems the Search Engine on these boards just plain sucks and never works for me.

Anyway. I don't care about which Squadron is the best over the others, or which one is the easiest or the hardest or whatever. What I want to know is, which of the three best suits my style of play in JTL.

I would prefer to avoid Escort Missions primarily, I never liked them and find them to be somewhat boring. So I am looking for the Squadron with the least amount of Escort missions. I don't mind reconn stuff, or missions where I have to meet someone and dock with their ship or whatever... and of course I enjoy, just chasing down a target and getting into the combat... except that I can't stand constant, non-stop and endless waves of "enemy fighters" coming at me... when I gotta get to a Waypoint for some reason and I have a dozen or more waves of enemy fighters popping along the route, that gets to be too much. Three or four waves are fine. Simple combat missions? Go to Waypoint X and take out squad leader Y and his/her escorts, those are fun and I enjoy missions like that.

So any advice out there on which of the three Rebel Squadrons would best suit me?

Thanks for all the advice.

I got hooked up with CP and breezed through my Trainee stuuf and Teir 1, in one night... now I am working on Teir 2 and pretty much what everyone has said here is correct... even the Yavin missions seem very easy.

I mean for at least a whole first 15 minutes of the first Duty Mission it was only throwing 1 enemy ship at me at a time, I kept wondering when it was going to move up to 2 ships, then 3 ships... and so on. It seems almost too easy for the amount of Exp needed to fill those boxes at Teir 2 haha... meaning, not enough enemy ships and I'm veering off from my waypoints to go find random stuff to blow up around Yavin just to get the Exp going haha.

But hey, its fun and I'm having fun with it... so, thanks for all the advice.
