Stop trying to blow them all up. Instead, disable each one and go after the next. It takes much less time to disable a ship than it does to blow it up, so you can move on to the next one even faster and don't get overwhelmed as much. When the transmission is complete, then go around and pick off the ships if you want the xp. You'll have time to do it because the next part of the quest doesn't start until you reach the waypoint. Incidently, the next part has 1 tier 4 ship on each wave that comes in, so you might want to use the disable option there as well.

whaaaahhhhhhhwell, is this one like 5 parts of something, i thought i read something similar for another squadron that there were 5-part missions...i just hate dying, and having to redo the whole thing...c'est la vie
is this solable? should i use my new interceptor, or would a bomber be more appropriate? how about the crimson tie? (3-2-2-2, dunno if i can use one if i get it)

Typically all T3 and most T4 missions have four parts - escorts, pickup and delivery, assist in a battle, stuff like that. Some can get long.
T3 Black Epsilon is known for being nasty. I hope you like gunboats!
They are soloable, with some practice and skill, however if you're a first time pilot I would advise you to bring friends.
Crimson TIE is a good ship, but it's T4. I would suggest you use the interceptor, I never much liked the bomber. But I prefer fast, agile ships, some people like the bigger bomber class vessels. Try both and see which fits your playstyle.

great, thanks, posts like yours, insightful, helpful are what we need around the forums, i can be a smar-arse like you cant believe, but when a serious question (yah, it's a game) is asked, at least one good reply for every 50 flames is nice

He's right, the crimson TIE is tier 4 use only. The bomber has much more mass than the interceptor but you might as well be trying to fly a giant brick (back in XvT, we even nicknamed it "brick"). It is the least manueverable fighter in the game. Aside from the ships you get from quests in ROTW, the intercepter is the fastest, most manueverable fighter you will be able to buy.
