I FINALLY got around to fiddling with my Vaskai- when I first saw that it only had one weapon slot, my jaw dropped. I was relaly thinking I had been ripped off. But man this thing is great against players- I found an X wing buzzing the ISD and he didn't see what hit him. I got his engines but was flying too fast to finish him off, so I looped back at a lower speed and WHAM! Get hit by a Krayt.
So I get back in it, take out the Krayt only to be hit by the X wing. Finally, I make a pass at the X wing and then turn to the Krayt, who clipped me with one of his three guns to nearly take out all my rear shielding, destroy the Kraytand loop back to the X wing to kill it. First time I got both of em.
FInally I got the Krayt and was going after the X wing when I got hit by a missile at point blank- with no chaff and no room to evade I was instantly vaped, so I had to land and get some chaff for my launcher which had been gathering dust.
However, as a Krayt man this new style of fighting is great. Actually avoiding hits succesfully is a real treat, and the speed really adds to the fun. Manuevering and managing speed is so much more important, and keeping tabs on your enemies at all times is a lot of fun as well. Now i have three players killed in DS- counting the multiples I haveseven kills and three deaths- if I get the ratio to 6:! I will be an ace!

yet another converted fighter pilot.
if you think the vaksai is awesome, you need to try something with a smaller hitbox like a g/jsf. you will take a third as many hits and will kick twice as much butt in deep space. plus with 2 weapon mounts you will have vastly more firepower provided you know how to equip it.

Don't listen to the evil man, JSF is for wimps.
A one gun ship, especially with a lot of mass like the Vaksai, can REALLY be deadly if you stick a nice big RE'd L10 weapon in there. Us the Nym's starmap reward for the damage, and look for other level 10's with low mass and refire rate (and a color you want of course
Make sure to put that one in the tool first).

The size of your hitbox hardly seems to matter when they never get behind you.
