Ok, my character on Bria was Smuggler's Alliance Ace for a long time. Recently I unloaded and redeeded everything and dropped SA to join Storm. During some of the newb missions in Tat and Lok Space I was attacked by some Black Sun fighters from static spawns. They were red-boxed and able to damage me and the ship I was escorting. But, I when I attacked them all I got was the "invulnerability beep". It was kind of hairy on that Lok escort mission when a tier 4 Black Sun blew my rear shields and a bit of my armor off.

Anyway, filed a ticket and had it answered in less that 12 hrs (WOW). The CSR told me to redeed ship and then move my profiles folder to the desktop and perform a full scan. Then wait about 45 minutes to relog.

I'm doing this now.

Has anyone had this problem and if so, is what the CSR told me to do going to fix this?

Seriously doubt that will help you in any way shape or form.

Your account is a little confusing, since there are no natural tier4 Black Suns spawning in Lok.

Haven't experienced anything like this, wish I could be of some help there.

But I keep getting this image of a couple of CSRs hanging around.

CSR1: *cough* *sputter* Man, that's some good sh**. /passdoob

CSR2: So that last ticket about the...ships or something wasn't it?

CSR1: Yeah man.

CSR2: *toke* *hold* *cough* You told him to redeed everything and move his profiles around? For real?

CSR1: Hahah, yeah man. I'll bet the poor sod's doing it right now. Once that doesn't work I'm going to tell him to uninstall the game and reinstall it. After that, I'll have him uninstall his entire operating system, and run on old versions of his video card drivers.

*both burst out laughing*

CSR2: Man, that's too good. Isn't he going to come track you down when he finds out it's all bunk, though?

CSR1: Nah, I logged in under Jerry's CSR account. He's out today.

Hmm, is there a duty mission there, that might explain me not being able to damage them. But I KNOW what hit me. And I was in Lok space at the time escorting the hostage transport for the 2nd part of the 1st teir 2 Storm Squad mission. Maybe somene had a Black Sun duty they couldn't handle and I got hit by the left overs.

THought just occured to me, they are probably a mission spawn from someone's 'Find Brody Johnson' quest. I have vague memories of Lok, and tier4 Black Suns.

There are no Black Sun Duties in Lok

Well, luckily I was able to dodge enough and keep the black sun harrassed enough so that they didn't get the transport lower than about 50/50 on the armor shields until we were out of range. I was able to complete the mission and continue.

I'll have to find some Black Sun and test this more, my 45 minute "time out" is almost up.
