I'm currently flying an Actis Interceptor with a mass of 90k that is able to use two weapons. I'm curious as to whether it is better to either use one Disruptor to focus on armor along with one Ion to focus on shields, or to just have two blasters that damage both evenly. I appreciate any input you guys can provide.

There was a recent discussion on this here. I think the general feeling was that you'd be best off with eithertwo blasters or one blaster and one ion cannon.

The amount of armor ships carry is small compared to the amount of shielding you usually have to shoot through, so disruptors are pretty useless.

Disruptor + Ion Cannon = Reverse Engineered Weapon with the best of both worlds.

Since 0.75 + 0.25 = 0.5 + 0.5, you have about the same damage output either way. Although I am starting to think going with 1 ion and 1 blaster, or even 2 ions, might be more effective than 2 blasters.

As for the RE argument, GOOD REd weapons will beat crafted. If you haven't collected enough guns to make a GOOD REd weapon, crafted does very well and beats nearly all unREd loot. Just REing the first 7 RE L7 blasters you loot does not make a weapon that is better than a quality quickshot advanced blaster. I had to save 30 L6 blasters before I could RE one that outperforms a L7 crafted. It depends on how lucky you get.

As crafted goes.

It doesnt make much of a difference having ion/dis over having two standard blasters. If you do the math, they both come up to be pretty much the same. Theres no real advantage to be gained.

As RE'd and looted guns go.

They are better.
