Just wanted to get some recommendations how to handle this mission. I managed by disabling the YT-1300 and running back to Dant station to repair my front armor that was gone. I then picked off the fighter's one by one. What strategy should I have employed? As a reminder, it is a Tier 4 YT-1300 and 4 fighters, can't remember if they were Tier 4 or Tier 5.

Flying Jedi Starfighter FYI.

Should I have attacked the gun turret on the YT? Is that what was wasting my shields/front armor so quick?

Hi. I'm no expert so if anyone has better advice, follow it.

I took it's weapons out 1st then engines 2nd and it was quite easy then, it's just the fighters that are a pain.

Take the YT-1300 1st, make sure you dont fly at it in a straight line and keep doing strafing runs on it hitting capacitor to shield shunt if you take a hit (please tell me you are using droid commands).

The JSF is so small the turrets should have a hard time tracking you if you keep moving.

Yes, I use droid commands and love them. I think I need to work on my tight spirals while attacking to avoid getting hit.

Get within agro range and the fighters will chase you, try to stay away from the gunship while dispatching the fighters. Head back to the gunship and either do strafing runs at it, or if its not twisting and turning like a freak sit 550ish metres away and pound it.

I hope youre using cap to shield shunt as well.

Not sure what mission this is but...

Dont agro them yet. Get behind the YT, disbale the guns...fast. IFF scamble...then pick off the fighters one by one. The fighter should be really easy.

As a side note...you really dont need heavy armror. Get a really good shield, have it re'ed...and go to town
