Thread: Where do you get the tractor beam?

Am i being stupid here? i did the flash harrison mission or whatever his name is and eventualy i got a cargo hold and a mining laser, the next guy i talk to tells me to go mine 250units of ore but i cant mine it cos i dont have a tractor beam to bring it in with...

To mine, you target the mining asteroid, fire until you break off a medium sized chunk, then fire at that until it breaks into a bunch of smaller chunks, and blow the smaller chunks up to collect the asteroid resources.

You will get a tractor beam during this somewhat lengthy quest series for the Y-8, by the way.
