Has anyone used these and if so what is the advantgage they offer? I have not heard any info on them and I would like to know before I buy a set and find out that they do nothing for the ship.

They modify visual appearance. No benefits to any stats like mass, reactor energy, etc.

They do have armor/hitpoint stats so they might take a couple points of damage that would otherwise be applied to more critical components.

Are these winglets able to be used for the TIEs? I thought they were only for the advanced at the moment, as no one could figure out how to attach the strakes to it from the radial....has this been fixed? Do you need schematics for strakes? What kinda resources do you need?

You attach strakes from the management window where you load your components. Its listed under "Chassis Modification"
