Thread: Getting to Master Pilot. Looking for tips :)

Although I bought JTL when it was released I was grinding other stuff.
I am just looking for general tips on leveling pilot. Currently I am 1-1-1-1 Reb Pilot and took the squadron trainer Mos Espa.
XP seems painfull slow when duty missions :/ I tried the OP missions on Yavin but they're beyond my skill at present.
If anyone has general tips for tier 2 then it would be a great help.

When I was working Tier 2, like at your point, I grouped with 2 others exactly like me and we camped at an Imperial Space Station in Lok.
The xp was flowing greatly, since sometimes there would be a few Tier 3 ships, and they gave great XP, and aren't that hard to kill in a group.

Another idea is to go turret riding with a more experienced pilot. I took a friend at Tier 2 into Kessel riding in one of the turrets of my Nova Courier and we managed to get him enough xp for a skill boxof Tier 2 in about seven or 8 kills.
It was even more impressive considering it was only the two of us on board.

When I was Freelancer 1-1-1-1, I went to Lurid Dawn on Lok, then to the POI Mercenaries' Ridge (I think I got the names right, been so long I've been there 
). There is a constant spawn of Tier 3 TIE Fighters there, and since they have no shields and max there is is 3 at a time, it's a pretty nice grind spot.
