Thread: Freelance Master Jacket question

I am 4/4/4/4 CorSec and am about to hit Kessel to go to master. I want the "other" master jacket, the open one with the straps, not the inflated michelin man one. Do you have to do the Imperial master quests to get the open jacket and the Rebel master quests to get the puffy jacket, or does it matter? CorSec Master Pilots, what jacket do you have and who did you get your master missions from?

As a freelance pilot you'll get the same jacket no matter which master mission you take. I threw mine in storage a few months back now, not even sure where it is now.

Are you saying that all Freelance pilots get the exact same jacket? Or do you mean the faction of two master missions does not matter, you get the jacket for your squadron?

jackets are factional, not linked to squadrons. So there is an Imp, Reb and Freelance jacket. Freelance jacket is the one with the open front and straps.
The rebel general hands out rebel ace jacket to players from rebel squadrons and privateer ace jackets to players from privateer squadron. The imperial general hands out imperial ace jackets to players from imperial squadrons and the same privateer jackets to players from privateer squadrons.

If the Freelance jacket is the one with open front and straps, what is this big puffy grey jacket I have seen Smuggler's Alliance pilots wearing? I am confused...

The original jacket missed its textures and has been fixed now. Maybe that is causing the confusion. I've mastered all 9 squadrons and I can assure you there are only three jackets total and thus only one type privateer jacket.

The imperial jacket kinda has straps ((if I'm remembering what it looks like properly, I don't really hang out with many imps in game)) but isn't open at the front. Maybe your thinking of that one but as a freelance pilot you'll get that horrible puffy grey one.

Thanks for your answers guys. I got my jacket last night, I did the Alliance branch of the Kessel master missions. I'm not sure why I thought I saw black ones. It is in fact grey, open, and has two straps. Now I need an outfit to match it, my pants were meant to match my Rebel ace jacket and I can't put that back on...

yes, the freelance jacket just doesnt look good full stop, which is really disappointing considering the time it takes to get it - id like to see the devs re-design it really, surely its just a mornings workfor one of them.

I'm not sure what you don't like about it, I think it's pretty cool. I wear a red shirt under the open grey jacket with straps and black pants with a red stripe.

i dont know... the textures seem of poorer quality than most other crafted jackets.. im not that fussed, i still wear mine, but wheni see the aliience jacket it does makeme slighly envious!
