Thread: How exactly does one travel/stop in Deep Space?

I figured even though I am not Master yet, I would at least see what deep space looks like. But I just hyper from planet to planet. I heard having /abort in your spatial chat line will do it, but when do you execute that during the jump? Or do you have to be a Master Pilot to even go there to look at Deep Space.

/abort is short for /aborthyperspace, it has nothing to do with deep space. You have to be a Master Pilot to even go there to look at Deep Space. To get into Deep space you talk to a Deep Space Station appropriate for your faction and ask to go there, at the cost of 30k prestige points (which is why it's masters only).

To enter Deep Space you need to be a master pilot.
You enter DS(And Kessel) by going to specific Space Stations in certain planet sectors(Dantooine and Dathomir etc)
The /abort command is used to abort a jump to hyperspace that has already been initiated. After you use it there is a small delay(30seconds i think?) during wich your hyperdrive is recharging and you will not be able to initiate another jump until it is finished recharging.
